👉 Note: To secure the collets properly in your ER11 chuck, a special ER11 nut wrench is required.

ER11 Collet Installation

  1. Insert the groove of the spring collet into the eccentric ring inside the nut.
  2. Push the collet in the direction of the arrow until you hear a click — this indicates the collet is properly seated in the nut.
  3. Insert the tool (drill bit, end mill, etc.) into the collet. Make sure it is fully seated and straight.
  4. Screw the nut with the collet onto the spindle or chuck body, then tighten it securely using an ER11M wrench.

ER11 Collet Removal

  1. Unscrew the nut with the collet from the spindle or chuck body.
  2. Remove the cutting tool from the collet.
  3. To release the collet from the nut, press the front of the collet inward while gently tilting it at an angle.
  4. Push against the eccentric ring until the collet pops out of the nut.
